Raoul Bede T. FernandezTo our dear School Director, Fr. Mauricio Ulep, CMF
To our school principal, Mrs. Razerly D. Ibañez;
To our Nursery and Kindergarten Coordinator, Teacher Pearl;
To our Homeroom Advisers, Teacher Charee, Teacher Val, Teacher Coocoo, Teacher Clare and Teacher Gen;
Fellow Claretians, a pleasant morning to all.
It is with great pleasure, to welcome everyone to our humble moving up ceremony.
Ralph Waldo Emerson, once said, “Fear always springs from ignorance.”
A person tends to be afraid of something, because of failure to be acquainted with it. One may be scared of a snake because of his lack of understanding of reptiles’ nature and behavior. In the same way, a person’s fear of doing an act may be because of a lack of understanding of the consequences.
In order to address this fear, there is only one remedy, education. We should learn, understand, and face the things, we are afraid of.
I was once scared of going to school, as I did not know what to expect. But when I was immersed with my classmates, and counseled by my Teachers, I became confident and even excited going to school and attending classes.
The statement I mentioned earlier, has been the guiding trail of my parents throughout their lives. I, as their by-product and offspring, am trying to emulate the same statement, to guide me throughout mine.
And I am privileged to have the Claret School of Quezon City as an instrument of my primary education, forming my young mind to be knowledgeable, and my young self to be a virtuous Christian.
Knowledge is best with virtue.
I, on behalf of all the nursery and kinder students, welcome everybody to our moving up ceremony. As my mommy said, this is just the 1st, of several more moving ups in my life.
But I am not afraid, as I am, and will be equipped with an excellent Christian education, provided by Claret School of Quezon City.
Again, welcome to School Year 2023 Moving Up ceremony.
