Claret School of Quezon City (CSQC) successfully conducted a scheduled earthquake drill last Friday, November 7, 2025, as part of its ongoing commitment to disaster preparedness and community resilience. The drill was actively participated in by the students, personnel, and administrators of CSQC, along with members of the Claretian community residing and working within the school compound, including the Claretian Missionaries Provincial Curia, Claretian Publications, and the Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish convent.
The school also welcomed representatives from the Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) Executive Board, the Quezon City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (QCDRRMO), and officials from Barangays UP Village and Teachers Village, under whose jurisdiction the school is located.
The drill simulated a major earthquake scenario, prompting immediate evacuation procedures. Within five minutes, all individuals were safely evacuated to designated areas, showcasing the effectiveness of CSQC’s emergency protocols and the community’s preparedness.
Following the drill, a post-event evaluation and meeting was held, attended by the invited guests and the school’s Risk Management Team. The session focused on assessing the drill’s execution, identifying areas for improvement, and reinforcing collaborative efforts in disaster response planning.
Claret School of Quezon City continues to uphold its mission of maintaining a safe and responsive environment for its students, personnel, and surrounding community, emphasizing the importance of readiness and cooperation in the face of natural disasters. #ScientiaMaximeCumVirtute
