Claret School of Quezon City held an event in the Gonzalez Hall that engaged the SHS student leaders in a conversation that focused on deconstructing the school’s vision and mission and participating in the review process of school policies, programs, plans, and activities.

The event started with a meaningful prayer that truly resembles the Claretian spirit, led by Lance Virtusio, the Central Board of Students President. This was followed by a message from the OIC-Principal, Mrs. Evelyn B. Angeles. Then the event proceeded with an activity that aimed to check if the student leaders truly understood the School’s Vision and Mission. The questions focused on who the prime movers are in making the vision come true, what type of school is being formed and what the main attributes of the graduates are. There was also a question on how the students can deepen their Catholic faith which serves as a foundation in pursuing endeavors that lead to the attainment of the school’s vision even amid crisis and other forms of Volatile, Uncertain, Complex, and Ambiguous situations.

The next activity was a series of surveys given to the student leaders, which assessed their involvement in the school’s policy formulation, implementation, and evaluation. Sharing what school policy they wanted to revisit , highlighted the value of their participation, showing that their input is greatly appreciated and is essential for continuous improvement.

After a short break, the event resumed with a survey assessing how the participants perceived themselves as student leaders, what they enjoyed doing, and how they can contribute to the improvement of the marketing strategies initiated by the school. The event ended with a closing prayer led by Rocco Cabanban, followed by a photo-op to foster a sense of community and shared purpose on such memorable day. The Offices of Quality Assurance and the SHS Coordinator facilitated the meaningful and productive Conversation Learning Encounter.
