Last June 23, Claret School of Quezon City proudly hosted Conversations, a significant program that welcomed 29 doctoral students from California State University, Dominguez Hills (CSUDH) and faculty members from the University of the Philippines, demonstrating the school's commitment to academic partnerships.

The event opened with a prayer led by the Faith Education and Enrichment Team (FEET), followed by welcome remarks from the School Director Fr. Victor F. Sadaya, CMF, PhD. The OIC-Principal Mrs. Evelyn B. Angeles, MAT, introduced the CSQC Community Team and emphasized the importance of partnerships between and among educational institutions, highlighting how collaboration strengthens shared goals. At the same time, Dr. Kitty Fortner, the Doctor of Education Program Director from CSUDH, facilitated the introduction of the twenty-nine doctoral students.

After which, Mr. Rodelio T. Santos, Quality Assurance Officer, informed the learning community and the visiting team of the institution’s ongoing process of revisiting its philosophy, vision, and mission in response to the Church’s directives and the aspirations of the Claretian Missionaries. He outlined the principal strategic challenges identified by the institution and described both planned and implemented strategies to address them. Emphasizing the centrality of formation within the CSQCs mission, he also stressed the imperative of delivering high-quality services across all systems and processes, reinforcing the school's dedication to excellence. Through participation in external quality assurance mechanisms, the school continually recalibrates its practices to respond to emerging challenges and trends. As an integrated basic education institution, it adheres to these guiding principles in advancing its mission of transformative Catholic and Claretian education, and the learning community believes that “the race towards quality never ends”.

Then, guests were treated to a video overview of Claret School and engaged in group conversations with Claretian leaders, focusing on academics, student services, formation programs, and external linkages and affiliations. These discussions highlighted the school’s commitment to its motto, “Knowledge is best with virtue.”

A highlight of the program was the thoughtful surprise from Dr. Fortner, who presented tokens of appreciation to the Claretian community. These tokens symbolize the mutual respect and shared commitment that underpin partnerships, emphasizing the importance of ongoing collaboration in fostering meaningful external linkages.

The program concluded with an open Q&A affirming the shared mission of building schools rooted in justice, compassion, and excellence. Conversations not only strengthened the ties among Claret School of Quezon City, California State University, and the University of the Philippines, but also inspired continued collaboration in the pursuit of quality education, encouraging optimism for future initiatives.
