Last April 7, 2026, the personnel of Claret School of Quezon City joyfully carried out the Alay Kapwa activity in partnership with the Ina ng Lupang Pangako Parish (ILPP). The event became a meaningful expression of compassion, generosity, and community spirit as beneficiaries from its parish were warmly welcomed into the school grounds.

The day began with a solemn celebration of the Eucharist, setting the tone for a Christ-centered encounter. The Mass was presided over by Fr. Amador "Ama" C. Tumbaga, CMF, Provincial Superior of the Fr. Rhoel Gallardo Province, and concelebrated by Fr. Victor F. Sadaya, CMF, School Director, together with Fr. Jeffrey C. Rasay, CMF, Head of Mission and Identity of the Faith Education and Enrichment Team. In his homily, Fr. Victor emphasized the true meaning of Alay Kapwa—offering oneself in love and service to others, especially those in need.

Following the Eucharistic celebration, a series of engaging and purposeful activities were conducted and facilitated by the different groups, clusters and offices. These activities aimed not only to provide joy and entertainment but also to foster meaningful interaction and build a sense of belonging among the participants. Through games, sharing of life experiences, and outreach efforts, with the distribution of care packages generously prepared by the school personnel, the Claretian community strengthened its commitment to living out its mission of service.

The Alay Kapwa 2026 initiative served as a powerful reminder that beyond material assistance, the gift of presence, compassion, and solidarity brings hope and dignity to others. It highlighted the school’s mission and advocacy in forming individuals who are not only academically competent but also socially responsible and deeply rooted in faith.

Indeed, the encounter with the ILP parishioners was more than just an outreach activity—it was a living testament to the Claretian spirit of “being with others,” especially the marginalized, and a concrete expression of Claretian love in action. #ScientiaMaximeCumVirtute
