On August 20, 2025, Claret School of Quezon City was visited by a delegation of 22 administrators from the DepEd Schools Division Office in Tagbilaran City, Bohol. The group aimed to conduct a school visit and benchmarking activity particularly in the field of Robotics, the CSQC school set-up, and the overall implementation of innovative STEM practices in the following areas: in integrating robotics into the curriculum, student engagement strategies, teacher training, and partnerships that support the sustainability of the program.

 

 

A simple program was held at the Gonzalez Hall (AVR) hosted by the members of the Academic Program of Excellence (APE) Robotics.

Before the start of the program, audio-visual presentations about the different activities and competitions participated by the Claret Robotics Team were presented to the visitors.

 

Tristan Joseph P. Copiaco (12-St. Philip) was the Emcee of the program.

  

Joseph Martin R. Parallag (10-SIL) led the Opening Prayer.

  

Fr. Victor F. Sadaya, CMF, PhD, the School Director welcomed the visitors with his charming presence.

 

Mrs. Evelyn B. Angeles, MAT., the School Principal gave an inspiring message to everyone.

 

Ms. Marissa A. Rante, the Robotics Moderator presented the Robotics Program of the school.

 

Mr. Allan M. Sebastian, MAEd., the Asst. Principal for Grade 7-10 explained the integration of the Robotics Program in the Curriculum.

 

Jon Dominador A. Gomez III shared valuable experiences and learnings in the Robotics Program of the school.

 

Dean Anthony Eduardo A. Rimando (12-St Philip) shared how the Robotics Program of the school has helped him in choosing his career in the future.

 

The visitors were entertained by the Music Fest Champions, Rafael Luis P. Asuncion (3-Excellence) and Riley Clark A. Castillo (4-Marian) with the guidance of Mrs. Hazel P. Copiaco, the Music Teacher.

 

Robotics demonstration and hands-on activities were conducted in the Robotics Laboratory by the members of the Claret Robotics Team.

The guests were amazed with the creativity, communication, and programming skills of the Claretians. They exhibited positivity and the values of teamwork, collaboration, and respect with each other during the demonstration and hands-on activities.

 

 

Members of the Claret Robotics Team showcased their masterpieces and skills in the recently concluded 24th Philippine Robotics Olympiad and their innovation projects in the FIRST Lego League competitions.

Alfeo Carsten F. Salaño (6-MMG) and Zuvel Ezekiel G. Narag (6-IC) demonstrated the missions and challenges for the Elementary Category.

 

Railey Royce T. Ballentos (9-FJM), James Francis Dante A. Rimando (7-AHM), Anton Javier O. Bagalacsa (6-OLA) worked together in the Double Tennis, Robo Sports demonstration.

 

Jon Dominador A. Gomez III (10-SD), Joseph Martin R. Parallag (10-SIL), and Dean Anthony Eduardo A. Rimando (12-St. Philip) explained and demonstrated how the robot works and its program.

 

Jose Raphael R. Grayda (12-St John) demonstrated how the ZMROBO robot works.

 

The school visit and benchmarking activity were concrete signs of Claret School of Quezon City’s commitment to share best practices and collaboration with other institutions in the mission of quality transformative education.

Mr. Rodelio T. Santos, the Quality Assurance Officer took the lead in the preparations for the visit and in welcoming the visitors.

The Claretian Administrators with the presence of Fr. Julius Jose A. Coching, CMF, Head of the Institutional Stewardship and Administrative Services and all other school  personnel who prepared, coordinated and helped during the visit, ensured that the guests would experience a warm welcome from the entire  Claretian Community and make  the benchmarking activity worthwhile. #ScientiaMaximeCumVirtute
