Diego Z. Suan of Grade 4–Eucharistic proudly represented Claret School of Quezon City as he achieved 23rd Place in the Mathematics Grades 4–6 Category during the 13th Annual Search for the Little Math Wizard held on November 15, 2025, at the Institute of Mathematics, C.P. Standing out among 230 participants from Grades 4 to 6 across the country, Diego demonstrated exceptional mathematical reasoning, precision, and perseverance—qualities that reflect the school’s commitment to academic excellence and character formation. Despite the scale of the competition, Diego remained grounded, focused, and humble, showing maturity beyond his years as he represented the Claretian community with pride.

The Annual Nationwide Search for the Little Math Wizard is one of the Philippines’ most prestigious math competitions for elementary learners. Organized by the UP-Mathematics Club and endorsed by the Mathematical Society of the Philippines, the competition continues its mission of discovering and nurturing young mathematical talents. Since its first run in 2010, the contest has grown from a regional search in the National Capital Region to a nationwide event, drawing outstanding students from DepEd-recognized schools across the country.

True to the Claretian motto, Scientia Maxime Cum Virtute—“Knowledge is best with virtue”—Diego’s achievement highlights not only his mathematical ability but also the discipline, dedication, and humility he demonstrated throughout his preparation. His grounded attitude and commitment to learning serve as an inspiration to fellow Claretians to pursue excellence with passion, perseverance, and purpose. #ScientiaMaximeCumVirtute
