On October 14, 2023, HS Batch ’78 celebrated a homecoming at Claret School of Quezon City to mark their 45th year anniversary as graduates.

The day began with the registration and “Meet and Greet”/Kapihan. This was followed by the Eucharistic Celebration held at the Heart of Mary Chapel, presided by Fr. Mauricio Ulep, CMF, the School Director, together with Fr. Charles Jocris Mortela, CMF, the Spiritual Director and Fr. Julius Jose “Jay” Coching, the Parish Priest of IHMP.

The highlight of the batch homecoming was the unveiling of the “Testament of Gratitude” marker dedicated to Fr. Santiago G. Gonzalez, CMF installed at the facade of the Audio Visual Room which shall now be called GONZALEZ HALL.

The batch agape followed inside the Gonzalez Hall where Fr. Mauricio Ulep, CMF, in his message to Batch ’78, emphasized “that we, Claretians, are missionaries hence the trademark in all that we are and do should be mission.” To inspire the batch, he added: “It would be good to know how you have shared your life in mission-- how you have allowed the genuine spirit of service to penetrate your everyday life and your work. Fr. Santiago G. Gonzalez, of the Claretian Missionaries, my brother and predecessor, would be very happy that you have offered your posthumous testament of gratitude; but he would be happier to listen to your stories marked with missionary zeal.” #ScientiaMaximeCumVirtute
