With the hiatus brought about by the pandemic, families of the Grade 5 Level came back to the physical campus to spend a Saturday morning together last March 18. Grade 5 Claretian students with their parents, siblings and some relatives first gathered around the altar of the Lord in a Thanksgiving Mass presided by Fr. Mauricio T. Ulep, CMF and concelebrated by Fr. Charles Jocris M. Mortela, CMF.

During the program proper, the School Principal, Mrs. Razerly D. Ibañez, welcomed everyone in the family celebration.

As the event progressed, fifth graders danced to upbeat and energy-boosting songs which earned them special awards and recognition—the Grade 5 Isaiah students as Dance Superstars, the Grade 5 Jeremiah students as Darlings of the Crowd, the Grade 5 Elijah students as Pure Energy Awardees, the Grade 5 Ezekiel students as the Coolest Kids, and the Grade 5 Hosea students as the Greatest Showmen.

After the section performances, students and their families strengthened their teamwork and collaboration through games like Bring Me, Spell Me! Hula Whoops, Crossing Galaxies, Handprint-Footprint, and All-Star Tug of War. The Grade 5 Elijah was hailed as the over-all champion during the games  while the other energetic Claretians got prizes for doing their best.

During the salu-salo and raffle draw, the families proceeded to the Primary Covered Court. While taking their lunch, students were all eager to win a bicycle, electric scooter, gift certificates and vouchers for Mind Museum, Enchanted Kingdom, and Ace Water Spa.

A Gratitude Wall was also displayed for the Claretians to manifest their grateful hearts and a corner for the Toy Drive initiated by the level was set up to enkindle kindness and mission towards the children under the Basic Ecclesial Communities of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish.

The well-designed Grade 5 Family Day 2023 would have not been possible if it were not  for the efforts and dedication of the PTA Officers headed by Mr. Gerardo Magsaysay, Mrs. Melinda Delos Reyes, Mrs. Marjorie David, Mr. Rey Ryan Nera, and Mrs. Via Gail Piquero in collaboration with Ms. Almira Reynaldo, the Student Affairs and Formation Coordinator and the Grade 5 advisers Mrs. Maria Luisa T. Cuya, Ms. Ellalyn A. Lumagbas, Mr. Stephen Matthew C. Mangubat, Ms. Mara-Angela C. Narciso, Mrs. Lizzette D. Romulo, other  teachers and the guidance facilitator. #ScientiaMaximeCumVirtute
