Claret School of Quezon City congratulates Jason Don S. Dizon of CSQC HS Batch 2013. He and Mikee De Vega took first place at the English as a Second Language (ESL) category at the 36th World Universities Debating Championships (WUDC) on 04 January 2016 in Thessaloniki, Greece. Their coaches were Dino De Leon and Robin Sebolino, both of CSQC Batch 2005.
The pair from De La Salle University (DLSU) was one of 3 Philippine teams and beat over 150 other teams from universities worldwide, including the University of Indonesia, Seoul National University in Korea and RWTH Aachen University in Germany. Other participants in the world's biggest debate tournament included students from Oxford, Cambridge, and Yale universities.
Jason Dizon once acted as Asian Schools Debate Championship (ASDC) Council Chair In 2013, when Claret School of Quezon City hosted the 5th ASDC championship, the first Philippine high school to do so.
