Honed into becoming socially aware, conscientious and service-oriented adults, the Claret Alumni Football Club organized a donation drive to help the CSQC’s non-teaching personnel most affected by the pandemic. Spearheaded by its President, Mr. Miguel Pagdanganan who humbly claims their Club’s identity as true Claretians being able to extend a helping hand especially to those who are part of the Claretian community, the said outreach activity held last August was joined by the Club Secretary, Mr. Geryl Mercader and the CSQC Alumni Association Secretary and the Club Vice-President, Mr. Leoncio Piquero.

In coordination with the School through the Student Services and External Affairs Department, recipient personnel were invited in groups to receive the Club’s donation containing bags of groceries and cash. While the personnel were delighted with the assistance, they were also touched to have some moments with the alumni representatives, who had taken time from their own work to make the personal connection—handing over gifts, asking after their health and their families, and keeping up their spirits.

The School thanked the generous alumni who contributed and supported this initiative during these trying times. Indeed, the maxim “Knowledge is best with virtue” comes alive in their act of charity.
