Samahang Barangayette ng Claret SY 2019 – 2020 organized an overnight leadership training from July 27 – 28, 2019 at the St. Anthony Mary Claret Retreat House, Sanville Subd., Tandang Sora, Quezon City. The activity entitled, Living in Excellence through Apostleship and Dedication (LEAD) with the theme, ACTS (All Committed to Serve!) hopes to develop well-rounded Claretian leaders. One of the objectives of the SBC LEAD is to enlighten the students about the values and virtues that are unique among Claretians by being model leaders in the School.

Sixty-three students who are homeroom officers and potential leaders from Grade 4 to Grade 6 participated in the SBC LEAD 2019. With the supervision of the Student Activity Program Area Coordinator, Mrs. RB-Carmelette C. Sanchez, teacher-facilitators Mrs. Filomena D. Habon, Ms. Almira V. Reynaldo, Ms. Clarissa Ates, Mr. Oscar Michael A. Del Carmen, Mr. Dave Antoniel Martinez, and Mr. Egmidio RJ Marzan assisted the SBC advisers, Ms. Ramona Magdalena F. Victoria and Ms. Rochelle Hilador throughout the duration of the training. Resource speakers in the plenary sessions were Mr. Gio Franco Gomez (Brotherhood (League of Leaders)), Bro. Dante Boringgot, CMF (Servant-Leadership), and Fr. Lito Ancla, CMF (Claretian Values of Student Leaders). 

 The student participants also had team building activities to nurture leadership qualities through mutual respect. The activities were named after the super heroes. They also had the Leaders’ Night wherein each group had to draw lots from the tasks prepared by the organizers. Some groups performed tutorial dances while others had song performances.

 

A Thanksgiving Mass was presided by the School Director, Fr. Mauricio T. Ulep, CMF to culminate the said activity.
